Much human interaction is superficial when it has the capacity to be transformative.  One  opportunity lies in complimenting people on things they are really good at - for instance, “you’re really good at making alliterative phrases.”  A compliment like that can dramatically impact someone’s life and begin them on a path to realizing nascent potentials. The gift is in listening really closely to another person and looking in an original way at them.
